Wow, it's been a long time since I actually posted. Nothing's really changed except I actually have got spitten on by my history teacher several times and I've finally realized that the only way to avoid all the bitchiness of highschool is just to not be friends with a group of girls. This is bad news for me.

I was tagged by rastaban43 so I figured I'd post a meme.

List and describe as many of your pet peeves as you can then tag someone for every pet peeve just to annoy them.

"Is your hair naturally curly?"
Yes, yes it is. I get this all the time, even from random strangers and once from this lady who was serving me at Subway. She was astounded. But really, I'm much too lazy to actually get a perm. People do have naturally curly hair. Why is everyone so scandalized by this?

My highschool
Everyone complains about it, and mine's not actually that bad. We just have shitty electives and terrible teachers. We all suspect my AP math teacher is a pot head, my chem teacher is a bit of a perv and my french teacher is probably going to eat us all any day now. We also have cliques in my school and girls who probably have less sense then a bag of chips, and half the fat.

Commercials about excersise machines/diets
Thank you very much, but I'd rather not stare at your rippling, well oiled abdomimals for ten minutes. It won't make me motivated, it will make me grateful I don't have rippling abdominals because then I'd have to find someone to oil them for me and that's a messy job. And really lady, I don't care what you say, you're not 60. It would be frightening to see a 60 year old woman in a bikini.

I have weird pet peeves. I'm not tagging, do it if you like!

Over Victoria Day weekend (know here as 'wahooo may 24th weekend!" my friends and I all went camping and now I'm internally conflicted. My friend, Josh, who just had a kind of icky breakup with my other friend, who I share every single one of my classes with, was telling me that I was soo pretty and all this stuff. Nothing happened or anything, because my friend Jason (otherwise known as 'the ex') pulled me out of the vicinity. The thing is, Josh can't remember any of this. So yeah. Everytime I see him I'm thinking, "aaaah you might secretly like me what do i do?" I also lost my tent poles. WTF? I was in shock for about 20 seconds before telling him to put me down. I'm pretty small and it's easy to pick me up, but WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? It was so werid.

In less disturbing news, The White Stripes are coming to my province in July and I am most definatley going. We barely get anyone here so I'm really excited. I can't remember the last band that came here that I actually liked (except Our Lady Peace but I couldn't go) so hurray.
Has anyone ever read anything by Terry Pratchett? I swear I am in love. I never thought that I'd like that kind of style (fantasy/science fiction mixed with humor) but I actually really really like it. I've only been able to get my hands on two, one (Mort) which I bought on impulse and the other (The Last Continent) I had to steal off my cousin along with Sense and Sensibility (finally). They are just so entertaining, and funny in a subtle way that you should all go out and read them. Now.

So what's going on in real life at the moment? Nothing. Um, I would really like to smack the guy that my exboyfriend likes. I swear he is the most annoying person that I've ever met. And he's so mean in this really kind of subtle way. Almost like he's trying to be nice, and then he tells you your hair looks ugly or that you have a terrible taste in movies. I can't get him to go away because he appearntly really wants my friend Kelly.

And that's basically just a lot of stupid highschool melodrama. Finals start in about 7 weeks or so and my English teacher is a hag, so I'll be obsessive about getting my mark up. Hurray.

We FINALLY got some snow and school was delayed for 2 hours this morning! *squee* I love winter because it A) makes me warm and fuzzy in a cold and numb way and B) because I don't have to shovel as I have a younger brother with pent up energy.

I knew it was going to happen eventually, but I am sad to say that I am totally additced to LOST. If anyone doesn't know what it is it's a tv show and it is sooooo additcting. I love Dominic Monaghan (sp?) aka Charlie, he is adorable and Claire is a <strike>bitch</strike> hormonal mother.

...Does anyone agree with me when I say we should dig a big hole in the ground and put all the guys in the world in there and not let them out until they're done being complete idiots?

Happy belated Halloween.

We had this major family crisis so I kind of missed Halloween and had to go drive for 5 hours to be smothered my relatives, but that's okay because only about 7 people come to my house because their too lazy to walk up my very long drivway.

Went to this party last night. There was a flash light (that's what I call it, but people assure me they're called strobelights) and my eyes are still kinda messed up. Whenever I close my eyes I see my friend outlined in white light. Something tells me this can't be good, lol.

A Lily/James one-shot

I've been sitting on my arse all day, so then I figured I might as well do something mildly productive because I have to watch my demon sibling. So I finished a one-shot I started a long, long time ago. I'm posting it here because I am pretty sure every single one of you on my f-list writes Lily/James, so you'd be able to give me some good feedback.

Please let me know what you think, because then maybe I'll post it on an archive. Hasn't been beta'd or anything, and I'm delerious from lack of sleep, so don't mind any mistakes!

Maturity

"Here lies a fallen soldier."

James Potter lay sprawled out on the hearth in the Gryffindor common room. He gave a pitiful groan.

"Operation not-act-like-a-ten-year-old-berk was a failure then?" Sirius Black asked, falling into an armchair.

"Your plan failed, Mooney," James said.

"Since, when did ‘Act your own age’ become a plan?" Remus Lupin said wryly, but he still looked at his friend sympathetically.

"What happened?" Peter Pettigrew asked.

"I’d been good all week! Even McGonagall said, ‘You’re shaping up to be a decent Head Boy, Mr Potter.’ . Then after munch Ken Blick was being an idiot about the last Quidditch match. So I shot a Bat Bogey hex at him," James explained hotly.

"And..?" Remus prompted.

James sighed. "It hit Evans’ friend."

"Laura Lark?" Peter asked.

James nodded solemnly.

Sirius shook his head. "Bet Evans wasn’t pleased."

"I think I’ll sneak into Hufflepuff dorm and put wartcap powder n Blick’s underwear," James said vehemently.

"I’m sure that will impress Lily," Remus muttered to himself.

"You should have let me handle this from the start," Sirius declared.

"Don’t bother, Padfoot... It’s useless. I bet Laura’s still getting bat wings plucked off her face," James said with a sigh.

"Chin up, Prongs," Sirius leapt up. "C’mon, Peter. We’ve got a bird to catch!"

Sirius thunked out of the common room with Peter coming behind, looking throughly confused.

James settled down into his favorite armchair and patted his stomach contentedly. He had drowned his sorrows in porkchops and potatoes and now Lily’s rejection had vanished from his mind.

Sirius was sitting next to him with a copy of the Daily Prophet. "Hey- says here that Zonko’s gets some new stuff coming in. Maybe we should grab the cloak and check it out or-"

"James!"

James was momentarily winded as something with beautiful red hair plopped into his lap.

"Lily?" he sputtered. "What are you-!"

He was cut off as Lily suddenly pressed her lips against his. His eyes opened as wide as saucers and it felt like one of his internal organs was trying to escape out his throat.

"LILY! Are you mad?"

Lily was hauled off him by her best friend, Laura Lark.

James stared at Lily. Her normally vibrant eyes looked a little glazed over, but other then that she looked fine.

"Yes, I’m mad. Madly in love with James!" Lily cried passionately.

The whole common room was quiet; everyone was staring at Lily. She attempted to go for James but Laura held her back.

"What did you do to her?" Laura spat.

"I-I didn’t-" James sputtered.

If looks could kill, James would have dropped dead. Laura glared at him before frogmarching Lily from the common room amid cries of, "Laura! Let me go back! That was James! James Potter!"

"She jumped me," James said weakly. "You don’t think she’s sick, do you? Did she give it to me? Do I look pale to you?"

"Relax, James," Remus said. "You look fine."

"Well... Maybe she’s come around! Maybe she actually fancies me!"

"...Maybe she’s sick, delirious or something." Seeing James’ expression, Remus hurriedly plowed on. "But maybe she does fancy you. What do I know?"

They were just back from a walk around the grounds and on the way back to the common room for a pair of dry socks, for the grounds was still wet from last nights rain.

James held Remus back. Lily and Laura had just emerged from a room up ahead. Laura had a firm grip on Lily’s arm, and Lily was frantically trying to escape.

"Hey- there’s Lily! Go and find out what’s wrong with her!" James whispered.

"Why don’t you go?" Remus asked, eyeing the angry Laura warily.

"Lark doesn’t like me much. You better do it," James said before slipping into a nearby broom closet to listen. He left the door open a little so he could see.

Remus approached the two girls slowly. "Hello, Lily, Laura."

"Remus!" Lily cried. "Have you seen James?"

"Potter isn’t with you, is he?" Laura asked, peering down the corridor.

"Nope!" Remus gave a nervous laugh. "Just me!"

"Tell me some stories about James, Remus!" Lily cooed. Remus has never heard her coo before. It is disconcerting. "He’s so brave and smart and..."

"He gave her Amortentia!" Laura explained.

Remus sighed. "That would do it."

"I always knew Potter was desperate, but to give Lily one of the strongest love potions there is... He’s got some nerve," Laura said. "Madam Pomfrey said the antidote would take at least a day to make, but since she was only given a small bit the effects should wear off by tonight. She’s been making a fool of herself all day... Professor McGonagall caught her trying to sneak down to The Ink Spill to get a I heart James tatoo!"

Remus shook his head. "How do you know it was James?"

Laura tightened her grip on Lily, who was still reciting James’ best qualities. "Look, I know Potter is your friend and all, but this is too far. It’s about time he grew up."

And with that, Laura hauled Lily away. Remus went back to James’ hiding place.

"What do you think-" Remus began.

"Sirius," James said simply.

"But where would Sirius get Amortentia?" he asked.

James shrugged.

"So... What are you going to do?" Remus asked.

"I don’t know," James replied truthfully.

Since shortly after lunch, James had discovered that there are several good places to hide from a crazed 17 year old girl. Greenhouse 5 was not one of them.

"How much longer till that potion wears off?" James grunted, extracting himself from the grip of some very enthusiastic vines.

Sirius shrugged. "Don’t know why you’re hiding from her. You’ve been pining after Evans since 5th year and now she’s finally after you."

"She’s not really after me," James said irritably, exiting the greenhouse. "It’s not real. It doesn’t count."

"Nancy," Sirius mocked.

James said nothing, just proceeded to check around for Lily. When he saw she was no longer around, he started back to the castle.

Eventually, James grinned at Sirius. "Don’t pretend to be so manly. If I recall correctly you sang Celestina Warbeck songs outside Ravenclaw tower on your broom to get Clementine Voight to go out with you in 4th year."

"I’ll have you know A broomstick made for two is a very manly song."

James rolled his eyes and laughed.

After an uncontrollable bout of hunger, James made his way back to Gryffindor tower, munching on a piece of cake.

"JAMES POTTER!"

Before he knew what was happening, James found himself suspended in midair by his ankle, staring into the face of a very angry Lily Evans.

"You are the most thick-headed, ignorant, repulsive little toad that I have ever had the misfortune of knowing," Lily growled.

"Lily-I-" James tried to say. A lot of blood was rushing to his head.

"A love potion? I won’t go out with you so you drug me?" She jabbed him in the shoulder with her finger. "I’ve been making a show out of us all day! Snogging you and fondling you. I bet you’ve been having the time of your life while everybody thinks Lily Evans is out of her mind!"

"But Lily, I didn’t!" James protested.

"You’ve crossed the line, Potter," said a very red faced Lily.

James pressed his hand over her mouth. His glasses slid off his nose and Lily’s eyes widened in anger.

"Have you even talked to Laura?" he asked.

She pushed his hand away from her. "Only for a second-"

"Well if you had talked to her for a second longer instead of tracking me down to kill me you would have found out I’ve been avoiding you all day!"

"What?" Lily demanded.

"It wasn’t me who put the Amortentia in your drink, it was... someone else. And I’ve been escaping you all day because... it just wasn’t right," James was getting delirious from being upside down. "So we haven’t been snogging and fondling."

"Oh." For once in her lifetime, Lily was at a loss for words.

"Um... Can you let me down now?" James asked sheepishly.

She flicked her wand and he fell painfully to the floor.

"So, you haven’t been taking advantage of me?" she asked quietly.

"Of course not," James grunted as he picked himself up.

"Oh."

"Yeah."

"James?" Lily said after a prolonged silence.

"Yeah?"

"Will you come to Hogsmeade with me on Valentines Day?" she whispered.

"Um, what? Why?" James stuttered, totally taken aback. Maybe this was some form of revenge.

"Because you’ve finally learned how to act your age," Lily said.

And for the second time that day she pressed her lips against his, except this time, he kissed her back, knowing that it was completely real.

We have mad pirate history and the pirate Peter Easton came here long ago to plunder and rape and whatnot, so we have this big thing, where people dress in pirate-y clothes and have all these festivites and stuff, but of course it is raining like it has been doing for the past two weeks. Weather here is such a tease.

Since it is raining and blegh outside, anyone have any fanfiction to rec?
Someone really doesn't want me to see that movie.

Yes, I am talking about Pirates of the Caribbean 2, which I was supposed to see least week. But the damn cinema was closed for renovations. Then, when I came home yesterday I was supposed to see it down here. 'Cars' got held over, then it's going to be fast and the furious and then the recording tells me "Pirates of the Caribbean 2, coming soon." Gurr....

AND my friend, who saw it in Edmonton or wherever he was, keeps dropping hints about things, and teasing me about it and making me jealous, <strike>the bastard</strike>.

And, I have writers block. Excuse me while I go be emo and eat a lot of chocolate.
